KTO has just completed a new sponsorship deal with the basketball team, Esporte Club União Corinthians, making it their second sponsor hailing from Rio Grande do Sul. Based in Santa Cruz do Sul, the team has just announced its return to the national basketball competition, 26 years since they last played at this level.
União Corinthians will participate in the Brazilian Championship of Adult Basketball Clubs, a competition already confirmed by CBB (Brazilian Basketball Confederation). The team already has a list of honorable achievements which includes winning the state competition in 2017, reaching the second championship of the 2019 Brazil under-21 Cup, and placing seventh in the Basketball Development League (LDB).
KTO is very interested in combining its name with teams and championships that share the same determined drive and strategy. The international bookmaker continues to support sectors of the sport that have struggled to find the necessary resources for development in the past.
Other partnerships
Also in Rio Grande do Sul, KTO sponsored the Brazilian Football team, Santa Cruz Futebol Clube, supporting the team in the finals of the Ibsen Pinheiro Cup. The team was crowned champions of the competition in December 2020 and they will now make their debut in the Copa do Brasil. The KTO logo is forever embellished on the team’s commemorative shirt worn in their victorious campaign.
In addition, KTO became the official sponsor of one of the regional Basketball teams under the new name ‘KTO / Caxias do Sul Basquete’ last year. The sponsorship serves as a proud moment for KTO to embark into the world of basketball and to provide support to an admired team. KTO / Caixa do Sul Basquete currently plays in NBB (Novo Basquete Brasil), a league with a national projection, becoming evermore relevant year after year.
